I learned a lot more about Web 2.0 today and about ways that it is being used in education. From checking out a youtube video only using pictures to describe Web 2.0, to checking out an infographic about how Web 2.0 is influencing online education and online access to education, to checking out Discovery Education of Web 2.0 tools, I learned about how easy it is to communicate with others in ways that influence learning. There are so many tools, from presentation tools, to podcast tools, to data-storing tools that can be accessed online. I don't think that prior to reading this information, that I fully grasped the other layer that is online education, learning, and tools that are out there to be used for free to create. I doubt that I am still fully grasping how amazing these tools are and their use in education and communication, but I kind of feel blown away with how easy it is to create and share using these tools. I was also blown away by the statistic that by 2019, 50% of all classes taught will be online (How the Internet is Revolutionizing Education from EDdTech Times).
