Upon reading Using Podcasts as Audio Learning Objects, written by Zeyne; Cebeci and Mehmet Tekdal, written in 2006 and published in the Interdisciplinary Journal of Knowledge and Learning Objects, I am left wondering how many teachers and students are using podcasts currently 9 years later in 2015. I think that podcasts are a great learning median for students who may not be strong readers, who are auditory learners, or for students who lack quick note taking skills. I think that educators could post audio lectures and record and post audio files of class review sessions that students could then download and listen to at their leisure to study from. The ability to take lectures anywhere and to listen to them at anytime creates a great study tool for students. Podcasts seem to a great way for online education to occur to have audio files stored of lectures, however, I think that they are a great tool for public school middle school and high school students to use a review and repetition of class information.
